BEIJING – Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement in Beijing with Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB) and Qidian (Beijing) School Bus Operating Co., Ltd. on July 9 to be the school’s exclusive school bus provider, to pick up students in its 19 branch schools nationwide.
A number of 11 units of Yutong school buses were delivered to Qidian and used for picking up CISB students one year ago and the successful operating prompted their further cooperation.
Qidian president Zhang Feng described it as a win-win cooperation between the two powers. “We are glad to see such strategic cooperation reached with CISB and more glad to provide safe, cozy, reliable and quality school buses to safeguard the kids during their school leaves and care for their happy growing up,” said Chao Lihong, deputy sales director of Yutong.
Besides serving CISB, Yutong school buses also run in campuses in some other international schools in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Qingdao.
Yutong is the No. 1 brand on domestic school bus market with 8,088 units sold last year, accounting for more than 30 percent of the market total.
Aiming to ensure safe school commuting for students, Yutong began school bus R&D in 2005 and released the first domestic model in 2006.
China witnessed several fatal school bus accidents in the last several years, which calls urgently for safe school buses.
