GUANGZHOU – Dongfeng Nissan’s 8 millionth vehicle rolled off the production line at its second factory in Huadu, Guangzhou on December 26.
In addition to the production of the 8 millionth vehicle, Dongfeng-Nissan has finished its sales target of 2016 in advance and by December 25, total sales of the company reached 1.1 million vehicles, up 13 percent over the same period of the previous year.
Through implementing its Yong Nissan strategy, the joint venture company carried out a number of product promotions in 2016 to increase its brand awareness and attract more consumers, especially those young people. As a result, favorable impression on Dongfeng-Nissan’s products in 2016 was reportedly up by 3.8 percent, compared with a year ago, and it has for the first time surpassed Toyota, ascending to the top three among joint venture brands.
Dongfeng Nissan is also improving its customer services through conducting a series of staff training in 77 chain stores across the country. Complaint rate of these stores has decreased by 38 percent. Moreover, Dongfeng-Nissan has introduced a warranty policy of 40,000 km for two years in its used car business, becoming the first one in the industry to offer such warranty polity.
