Expect the unexpected

China’s annual sales of new energy vehicles topped one million units for the first time ever, increasing 68 percent in the first 11 months of 2018 to 1.03 million units, according to the latest official industry data (see China auto sales down 13.86 percent in November, YTD sales down 1.65 percent). Most of these were new energy passenger vehicles, totaling 886,000 units, up a staggering 84.8 percent.
