SHANGHAI – Ning Shuyong has joined Qoros Auto as executive vice president of marketing and public relations, reporting directly to company CEO Leon Liu, according to media reports.
Ning was assistant to Chairman Li Shufu and spokesperson of Volvo acquisition team starting in May 2010. After Volvo was successfully acquired, he joined Volvo China as vice president of corporate communication and was later promoted to be vice president of Volvo Asia Pacific, responsible for government relations, brand building, new vehicle model launching, dealer communication, crisis management, staff communication and sustainable development.
Ning also has rich experience in media and marketing in both IT and automotive industries. He was a reporter with Xinhua News Agency in 1993.Three years later, he joined Motorola as director of its communication department. In 2003, he joined hands with some founding fathers of Sony Ericsson and helped the company to rank fourth in terms of market share. Then in 2007, he worked with Dow Chemical, responsible for communication and marketing of Dow Chemical Asia Pacific.
Ning was born in 1969. He graduated from Shandong University with a major in English. He has a Rutgers EMBA degree from The State University of New Jersey and received senior marketing training from Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University.
