Aptiv opens new Suzhou Tech Center with 5G V2E lab, to launch L2+ ADAS in China by turn of decade

SUZHOU, Jiangsu – China will be the first country where Aptiv PLC will develop and launch its so-called “L2+” advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), according to David Paja, senior vice president & president, Advanced Safety and User Experience at the leading global technology company specialized in connected solutions and autonomous driving enabling the future of mobility.


“In the next years, we see China adopting advanced levels of active safety: L2+ or L3- which includes traffic jam pilot (TJP), meaning full automation at low speeds in highway applications,” said Paja. “We see that becoming the most popular demanded solution in China and we already have two local Chinese OEMs who have selected Aptiv to launch that technology in China. We are cooperating with other Chinese OEMs to extend that technology.”
