Rochling Automotive Kunshan celebrates 10th Anniversary

KUNSHAN, Jiangsu – Röchling Automotive Parts (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. celebrated its 10th anniversary here on June 8.

Established in 2007, Röchling Automotive Kunshan now has about 300 employees and a new plant with a building area of over 20,000 square meters. The plant produces parts for air flow management, acoustics, and thermal management, such as intake manifolds, air-ducts with air-vent control, grille shutters and cylinder head covers, 3D charge-air tubes, door carriers, expansion tanks and air-filter housing.

The company currently serves customers such as SAIC-VW, Ford, General Motors, Daimler, FIAT, IVECO, GAC Motor, SAIC Motor, Mazda Japan, Dongfeng, Audi Germany, Continental, Bosch, Brose, Valeo Japan, as well as other OEMs.

“From here, from Kunshan, which houses not only the production area but maybe even more importantly also houses one of our four technical centers around the world – we steer, control and develop the entire Asian market,” said Erwin Doll, CEO of Röchling Automotive. “Kunshan plays a central role in our global electrification strategy.”

“In the past 10 years, Röchling Automotive has experienced a variety of challenges and difficulties, built an excellent team here by integrating Chinese and Western cultures, and achieved rapid growth,” said Edward Huang, general manager of operations China and one of the senior employees of the company.
