BEIJING – China’s large bus (including chassis) sales were only 3,220 units in January, down 81.99 percent from the previous month, and 54.23 percent from the same period of the previous year, according to statistics by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
The top 10 bus makers sold a combined 3,175 units of large buses in January, accounting for 98.60 percent of the total large bus sales in the month.
Zhengzhou Yutong remained the first on the top 10 list with sales of 1,336 units, a slip of 51.91 percent. Sunwin Bus sold only 19 units, a decrease of 86.9 percent on a yearly basis, sitting at the bottom on the top 10 list. Yangzhou Yaxing is the only one among the top 10 bus makers which achieved sales increase in January.
