BEIJING – Wang Guoqiang, president and secretary of the Party Committee of FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd. since June 2014, and An Tiecheng, president and secretary of the Party Committee of FAW Car Co., Ltd. starting from November 2016, will be promoted to be vice presidents of FAW Group, according to an announcement from State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) on February 9.
With the new appointments, FAW Group will have a leading group of eight executives.
Wang, 50, was graduated from Wuhan Institute of Technology with a major in machinery manufacturing. He started to work in August 1988 and has served numerous positions with FAW including vice director and vice president of FAW Steering Engine Plant, vice secretary of CPC Qamdo Zogang Country Committee (working at local government to support the development of Tibet), vice director of the quality department of Tianjin-FAW-Toyota, vice director of the Teda plant and vice director of FAW Group’s development department.
Born in 1963, An was graduated from Jilin University with a major in management science and engineering. He joined FAW in July 1984 and has served different positions with the company including vice director of FAW Vehicle Body Factory, director of the planning department of FAW-Volkswagen, director of the planning department of FAW Group, president of FAW-Volkswagen, president of FAW Car Co., Ltd. and general secretary of the Party branch of FAW Car’s Red Flag Division.
Their successors will be announced later.
