CHANGCHUN, Jilin – FAW Group announced here on April 7 the appointment of Wang Guoqiang and Qiu Xiandong as members of Party Standing Committee and vice presidents of FAW Group.
Wang was born in March 1967 in Chengde, Hebei Province. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in June 1994 and started to work in August 1988. He graduated from Wuhan Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in mechanism crafts and equipment. He also received an MBA degree from University of California.
Wang is a senior engineer. He has served numerous positions with FAW Group including vice director of FAW Steering System Factory, vice president of Fawer Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. Steering Branch, vice secretary of CPC Qamdo Zogang Country Committee, vice director of the quality department of Tianjin-FAW-Toyota, vice director of Teda plant, vice director of development department of FAW Group, and secretary of the CPC Committee and president of FAW Jilin Automotive Co., Ltd.
Wang Guoqiang Qiu Xiandong
Born in November 1969 in Guangshui, Hubei Province, Qiu joined the CPC in March 1993 and started working in July of that year. He graduated from Tsinghua University with majors in forge crafts and equipment from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and business management from School of Economics and Management.
Qiu is a senior accountant. He has served numerous posts with Dongfeng Motor Corp. (DFM) including director of finance sector of planning and accounting department of DFM, director of finance branch of financial planning department of Dongfeng-Peugeot-Citroën Automobile Co., Ltd. (DPCA), vice president of DPCA and concurrently director of financial planning department of DPCA, president, vice secretary of CPC Committee and member of executive committee of DPCA, director of business management department of DFM, director of business management department of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. (DFG), and vice president of DFG.
