LANZHOU, Gansu – Zhuhai Yinlong started construction of its new energy vehicle plant here on May 3.
With a total investment of ¥2.5 billion ($363.37 million), the NEV plant will cover a land area of about 666,667 square meters for construction of new energy bus and power battery production facilities.
As planned, investment for the first phase is ¥1 billion, which will be used for new energy bus manufacturing facilities with an annual output capacity of 3,000 units. Second phase will have an investment of ¥1.5 billion for building up power battery production facilities. When the two phases are completed, annual output value is expected to reach ¥3 billion.
Zhuhai Yinlong also plans to add ¥2 billion investment in the next step to expand production capacity of new energy buses and set up an energy storage station which will have an annual production capacity of 3 billion ampere hours.
Zhuhai Yinlong is one of the largest high-tech NEV enterprises. By building NEV plant in Lanzhou, the company aims to develop a green energy industry chain in Northwest China which is rich of renewal energy.
